Local governments implement curfews Wednesday night
Following three consecutive night of protests over the death of Daunte Wright, several local communities, including Brooklyn Center, will implement curfews on Wednesday night.
Curfews in Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park will be in effect from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday while Champlin’s will run from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday.
Exemptions include those traveling to attend religious services, experiencing homelessness, fleeing dangerous situations, traveling to and from work and seeking medical care.
Minnesota Operation Safety Net (OSN) said areas in the metro may see military vehicles and National Guard members as over 3,000 have now been activated in support of the operation this week.

OSN said the guard members are supporting law enforcement efforts in Brooklyn Center, Minneapolis and St. Paul to protect people, prevent destruction and allow for peaceful protests.
Minneapolis said it wouldn’t implement a curfew Wednesday night but urged people to call 612-673-5335 with tips about suspicious activity in Minneapolis that does not require an immediate response or 911 if the situation warrants an immediate response.
A total of 79 arrests were made on Tuesday night in connection to violent protests, OSN said.
There will not be a curfew in Minneapolis tonight, April 14.
