Carjacking suspects crash vehicle into north Minneapolis home while fleeing police
Two carjacking suspects crashed a vehicle into a north Minneapolis home Saturday afternoon while fleeing from police.
According to a Minneapolis police spokesman, officers spotted a vehicle that had been stolen during an armed carjacking around 12:30 p.m. near 33rd and Newton avenues. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the car sped away.
The car left the road at 35th and Newton avenues and crashed into a house, caving in a wall and leaving the vehicle rolled on its side, police said.
Two female juveniles were taken into custody at the scene.
No one was in the house at the time of the crash.
