DNR to hold 2nd auction for confiscated hunting, fishing gear
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will hold its second auction of the year for confiscated hunting and fishing gear this week.
The DNR said Monday that the online auction includes 252 firearms and 39 bows. The equipment was all confiscated after serious game and fish violations.
A bidding catalog for the auction will be available online Monday night with bidding beginning on Tuesday.
According to the DNR, on-site inspection is available at Hiller Auction Service in Zimmerman from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. All equipment will be sold as-is, and no returns are allowed.
Revenue from the auction goes to the Game and Fish Fund, which is the department’s primary fund for delivery fish, wildlife and law enforcement programs.
