2 arrested in Spring Lake Park after 15 pounds of meth found

Two people were arrested Monday night after authorities executed a search warrant in Spring Lake Park and found drugs, cash and a weapon.

According to the Cooperative Enforcement Effort-VI Drug and Gang Task Force in Willmar, a 51-year-old man and his 51-year-old wife were arrested after the task force found 15.21 pounds of methamphetamine, more than $73,000 in cash and a .44 magnum handgun during a search of the couple’s home and storage unit.

The suspects weren’t immediately identified.

The task force said an investigation revealed the man was the source for large amounts of meth that were trafficked into the area and other parts of Minnesota.

They’re both being held in Anoka County Jail.

An investigation remains ongoing.
