Vice President Pence attends campaign event in Hibbing

Vice President Mike Pence returned to Minnesota Monday to deliver remarks as Election Day nears.

Pence spoke for about an hour during an event in Hibbing on Monday.

The rally began with other speakers addressing the crowd at 1 p.m. at the Range Regional Airport. Pence began speaking at about 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, some health policy experts said the vice president should be quarantining instead, after his chief of staff and four other staffers tested positive recently for COVID-19.

A spokesperson for Pence told ABC News the vice president and his wife tested negative Sunday and Monday, and that Pence "will maintain his schedule in accordance with the CDC guidelines for essential personnel."

Pence’s most recent visit to Minnesota took place last month.
