Police: Rochester woman found dead in snow reported missing from assisted living home

A woman that was reported missing from an assisted living home was found dead in the yard of a southwest Rochester home Monday, according to KAAL-TV, a Hubbard-owned station.

KAAL-TV reports the Rochester Police Department received a call from a man at about 7:30 a.m. Monday who said a woman was lying in the snow in his yard and that she appeared to be dead.

When officers arrived at the home, the woman was pronounced dead.

Police said it had also received a call from Shorewood Commons Assisted Living, which reported that a resident had been missing since about 2:30 a.m.

The facility said 92-year-old Marion Keith went to the lobby around 2 a.m. and was taken back to her room after. She was seen again around 2:30 a.m. leaving the campus with a jacket on.

The Rochester Police Department said it believes the woman found near the man’s house is Marion Keith. Officers say it’s likely the woman died of hypothermia.
