Victim of fatal rollover crash on I-694 in Pine Springs identified

The victim of a fatal rollover crash on Interstate 694 near the Highway 36 interchange Wednesday morning in Pine Springs has been identified.
According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling eastbound on I-694 just east of Century Avenue when it went off the roadway just before 6 a.m. and flipped over in the median.
Lane reductions were implemented in both directions on I-694. They have since reopened.
The crash report identified the lone victim of the crash as 28-year-old Matthew Allen Ford, of Maple Grove.
The report states Ford wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The investigation remains ongoing.
