Landmarks, theaters and venues across the nation were lit up red Tuesday night in support of a hurting entertainment industry.
Here in the Twin Cities, stagehands wheeled red lights onto the Stone Arch Bridge to call attention to the crisis that’s left hundreds of thousands of live event employees without work. The Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul adopted a red glow as well.

The visual display — called "Red Alert RESTART" — is a push for Congress to pass legislation to help them get by until music venues open back up.
"There are lots of people behind the scenes that you normally don’t see," said Seth Scott, the owner of a local production company. "They know the stars — they don’t know the hundreds of people it takes to put that show on."
Scott says he doesn’t expect events to start up again until next spring.
