Police investigating Dinkytown robbery incident where suspects claimed to have firearm

Authorities are investigating a robbery that occurred near the University of Minnesota where five suspects claimed to have a firearm.

According to the University of Minnesota’s Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred early Thursday morning near 15th Avenue Southeast and University Avenue Southeast.

During the robbery, the suspects took the victim’s phone and wallet.

The suspects were last seen westbound on 4th Street Southeast.

The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the incident.
