1 dead, 1 in custody in connection to fatal West St. Paul shooting
Police say one person is in dead and another is in custody following a fatal shooting in West St. Paul.
According to Police Chief Brian Sturgeon, officers were called around 9:30 p.m. on the report of a disturbance at a residence on the 2000 block of Christensen Avenue.
When officers arrived, they heard a gunshot outside of the building.
Officers later found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sturgeon said responding officers then found a man who was possibly attempting to steal a vehicle. That man was taken into custody, according to Sturgeon.
