Classes set to begin this week on U of M campus

The University of Minnesota is welcoming students back to campus for the first time since March.

Classes at the Twin Cities campus will begin Tuesday, but with COVID-19 still affecting operations student life will be far from normal.

The University of Minnesota says about 70% of classes will be held online or remotely.

"I have one in person class we’re actually going to be meeting outside so it’s safer," student Catja Peterson said. "It would be really nice to have some sort of freshman year."

Students living on campus won’t be able to move in until next week.
