Officer Arik Matson suffers setback in recovery from shooting in January

Waseca Police Officer Arik Matson, who was shot in the head responding to a suspicious person call in January, has recently suffered a setback in his recovery.
According to a CaringBridge post written by Arik’s wife, Megan, earlier last month, Arik suffered back-to-back grand mal seizures. Megan said that with a major brain injury comes seizures like he experienced.
"My heart sank," she said, in part.
Arik was kept in the hospital for 24 hours and then was taken back to the rehabilitation center, where he was quarantined for 14 days due to CDC guidance.
The 33-year-old also left a message on his recovery and a message for the Minnesota Vikings ahead of their game against Green Bay on Sunday:
"I’m working hard to get home. It’s been a lot of work. I miss my girls. Good luck next Sunday Vikings kick Green Bay’s a$$."
