Walz calls 4th special session of Minnesota Legislature, is expected to extend peacetime emergency

Wednesday, Gov. Tim Walz announced the Minnesota Legislature will convene again for a special session.
The special session is set to begin Friday.
During the special session, Walz is expected to extend the COVID-19 peacetime emergency.
"While Minnesota has taken life-saving action, the threat of COVID-19 remains," Walz said in a statment. "It’s imperative that we have the tools necessary to respond to this rapidly-evolving virus quickly and decisively in order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of each and every Minnesotan."
This marks the fourth special legislative session of 2020.
