Man arrested in connection to St. Cloud assault that injured 3 people

St. Cloud police say a man has been arrested in connection to an incident where three people were assaulted.

According to the St. Cloud Police Department, at 2:10 a.m., three men were approached by a suspect later identified as 23-year-old Tyree Ali Overton of St. Cloud.

The men and Overton were in a verbal argument, which later escalated. Police say Overton then assaulted all three victims. The three victims suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Police said that one of the victims was transported to St. Cloud Hospital by ambulance. A second victim received treatment for injuries the following day at St. Cloud Hospital and the third victim received only minor injuries.

According to police, the victim’s injuries ranged from concussions to broken bones.

After police got witness statements and obtained evidence, Overton was arrested on the 700 block of 7th Street South late Friday morning.
