Smoke from wildfires out west has been creating a hazy film over the sun in Minnesota during the past couple days.
Monday, KSTP Chief Morning Meteorologist Ken Barlow confirmed the hazy quality is due to wildfire smoke.
Although it creates a surprising effect around the sun, "smoke should stay high enough in the sky as to not cause breathing issues," Barlow said.
Meanwhile, Barlow said Monday in Minnesota is expected to be breezy and warmer, with a high of 78 degrees.
Correct, Ben…this is smoke from the Western fires. Smoke should stay high enough in the sky as to not cause breathing issues… https://t.co/IqY2fDsDtH
