Former Rep. Nolan’s daughter Katherine dies following battle with lung cancer

Former Minnesota Rep. Rick Nolan’s daughter Katherine Bensen has died after a long battle with stage four lung cancer.
In a post on his Facebook page, Nolan announced that his daughter Katherine had died on Sept. 15 after a five and a half year battle against lung cancer.
Nolan says that Katherine carefully edited and wrote much of her own obituary, which you can read below.
KSTP had covered Katherine’s battle numerous times over the past five, and a half years and highlighted her fight to make clinical trials more widely available.
