20-year-old St. Paul man identified as victim of fatal shooting in Minneapolis
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a 20-year-old who was shot and killed last month in south Minneapolis.
According to an autopsy report, Chea Clement Selyon, of St. Paul, died of multiple gunshot wounds on Aug. 18.
Police said troopers from the Minnesota State Patrol were in the area of East 46th Street and Hiawatha Avenue at about 12:23 a.m. on Aug. 18 when they heard multiple gunshots. The troopers notified their emergency communications center and responded to the area where the sounds came from.

At that time, Minneapolis Police officers were dispatched to the same area on a report of gunshots.
The troopers saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of East 46th Street and Snelling Avenue. They stopped the vehicle and found a woman driving with a man in the passenger seat suffering from gunshot wounds. The state troopers provided emergency medical aid to the victim until they were eventually relieved by paramedics.
The victim was taken to Hennepin Healthcare for treatment but was pronounced dead a few hours later.
