1 victim injured from shooting in Brooklyn Center

A man is suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest Wednesday night in Brooklyn Center.

According to the Brooklyn Center Police Department, at around 10:50 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 7200 block of Unity Avenue North.

While en route to the scene, the shooting was updated to the officers that a man was shot in the chest.

Once officers arrived at the scene, first aid was conducted on the victim and he was transported to a local area hospital via ambulance, said police.

According to police, the victim is in life-threatening injuries but is in stable condition.
