Suspect in North Minneapolis homicide arrested following police pursuit

A man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred in Minneapolis Monday night was taken into custody after a pursuit with police.

According to a Minneapolis police spokesperson, officers attempted to stop a vehicle that was driven by a suspect wanted by the Minneapolis Police Department.

The suspect did not pull over and led police on a pursuit. Officers pursued the suspect to Plymouth, where they were able to take him into custody.

Police did not release the name of the suspect.

Police investigating fatal shooting in North Minneapolis

Officers were called Monday night just before 5 p.m. on the report of a shooting near the corner of Dowling and Fremont avenues.

Police say a 17-year-old was killed in the shooting and that another man was also shot.
