Friday, the Minnesota Twins recalled left-handed pitcher Lewis Thorpe, who will start Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim.
The 25-year-old appeared in seven games for the Twins last season, going 0-1 with a 6.06 ERA.
To make room for Thorpe on the roster, the Twins optioned right-handed pitcher Shaun Anderson to the alternate training site just one day after recalling him.
The Twins entered Friday with a record of 6-7.
