Firefighters extinguish bulk of Minneapolis residence fire

Minneapolis firefighters were at the scene of a residential fire early Tuesday.

According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, the fire occurred on the 2900 block of Dupont Avenue North.

Firefighters were able to cut electricity to the building and extinguish the bulk of the fire.

According to the department, the fire had extended into the attic area. A power line attached to the building had burned in the process.

No initial injuries were reported.
