Gophers men’s basketball land William & Mary grad transfer Luke Loewe

After adding transfer Jamison Battle earlier this week, the Gophers received a commitment Friday from William & Mary graduate transfer Luke Loewe.

Loewe, a 6-foot-4 guard from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, averaged 16.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals last season for William & Mary. He made second-team All-Colonial Athletic Association and was on the conference’s all-defensive team.

As a junior, Loewe led the CAA in 3-point shooting at 43.9% (43 of 98), en route to averaging 10.7 points. His other three years for the Tribe resulted in 3-point shooting percentages below 30 percent.
