Wisconsin health officials on Tuesday reported eight new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,648 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 72 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 27,869.
A total of 581,070 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 886 new cases reported Tuesday.

As of Tuesday, DHS reports that more than 3.33 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 3.5%.
DHS said the state has been allocated more than 3.3 million vaccine doses so far. Of those, 3.12 million had been administered as of Tuesday, and over 1.18 million people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
