COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 5 new deaths, 1,092 new cases

Friday, Wisconsin health officials reported five new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,672 deaths since the pandemic began.
Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 88 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 28,059.
A total of 583,935 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 1,092 new cases reported Friday.

As of Friday, DHS reports that more than 3.34 million people have been tested in the state.
The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 3.8%.
DHS said the state has been allocated more than 3.3 million vaccine doses so far. Of those, 3.38 million had been administered as of Friday, and over 1.33 million people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
