The Wild, Wolves, and Twins all postponed games on Monday following the police shooting of Daunte Wright on Sunday night. Wild players expressed their condolences to the Wright family and the community of Brooklyn Center, following practice on Tuesday.

"As a group and the team we thought it was the right thing to do. Obviously, the community and the city is going through some tough times and our wishes are with Daunte and his family," said Wild captain Jared Spurgeon.

The Wild announced that Wednesday’s game against Arizona will now start at 1 p.m. instead of its originally scheduled 8 p.m. time.

Monday’s game against St. Louis was rescheduled for May 12.

The Wild have dropped 3 of the last 4 games giving up an average of 5 goals a game, but they’re shifting their attention to the Coyotes quickly in hopes to change that.

"We need to find that consistency again. We can’t afford to have those lows following a big win. Your job is changing every night and every shift," Spurgeon said.

Wild GM Bill Guerin decided not to make any trades during Monday’s NHL trade deadline day and now Wild head coach Dean Evason knows the players he’ll have moving forward.

"We weren’t expecting anything. Regardless of if anything happened, our job is to coach the team we have," said Evason.
