Victim of fatal Minneapolis stabbing identified
The 19-year-old who died after a stabbing in Minneapolis Saturday night has been identified.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Abdirisaq Muhudin Namhani, of Minneapolis.
Police investigating deadly stabbing west of downtown Minneapolis
Minneapolis police said officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 7:45 p.m. in a park area near Fourth Avenue North and Van White Memorial Boulevard. When they arrived, officers found Namhani suffering from a stab wound and not breathing.
Officers attempted lifesaving measures and Namhani was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said an initial investigation indicated a physical altercation between two acquaintances led to the stabbing.
No arrests had been announced as of Monday morning.
