Wisconsin surpasses 1,000 COVID-19 deaths
Wisconsin health officials reported 724 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, bringing the total number of positive tests in the state to 61,785 since the pandemic started.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) also reported eight additional deaths, moving the total count to 1,006.
The state also reported 5,092 people have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
As of Tuesday, DHS says 1,014,277 people have tested negative for COVID-19.
The latest report states 83% of COVID-19 cases in the state of Wisconsin have recovered thus far.
