Hundreds of power outages reported across metro

Storms rolled through the state Friday night, leaving damage and power outages in many areas.

Xcel Energy reported over 500 known power outages as of 9 p.m. Friday affecting more than 54,000 people.

Damage, funnel clouds reported as storms roll across Minnesota

Crews are working to restore power to those affected by the outages. Xcel Energy said it had more than 350 employees and contractors from multiple states responding Friday night, with around 500 expected by Saturday morning.
