One cat in the Twin Cities is lucky to be alive.
Last week, Mike Sisneros’ cat Jake became stuck in a couch that he threw out at his Cottage Grove home.
"He always finds a place to hide," Sisneros said.
About ten minutes after Chase Johnson with Johnson Junk Removal picked up the couch, Sisneros noticed Jake was missing and called Johnson to check and see if his cat was hiding inside the couch.
"Got a phone call from the customer saying their cat was missing and that’s pretty unusual," Chase Johnson said. "They said we think it’s in the couch."
Johnson looked but didn’t see the cat, but then looked again at the dump and found Jake’s tail sticking out of the couch.
"He was up kind of under the armrest and he was up there so high we had to take some box cutters and cut the side of it for him to come out," Sisneros said.
The Sisneros family is thankful Johnson Junk Removal saved Jake.
