17-year-old killed in St. Paul stabbing identified
A 17-year-old killed in a stabbing Tuesday morning in St. Paul has been identified.
St. Paul Police identified the victim as Davant Coppage.
17-year-old killed in St. Paul stabbing, brother in custody
Officers were called to the 2200 block of Lower Afton Road at about 3:15 a.m. on a report of two brothers fighting. When they arrived, police said officers found Coppage unresponsive and suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers rendered first aid but medics later pronounced him dead at the scene.
Coppage’s 24-year-old brother, Eric James Young, was taken into custody in connection to the fatal stabbing Tuesday morning, according to police.
An investigation into the stabbing remains ongoing.
