MDH says 6 new COVID-19 deaths in latest report, 38 new hospitalizations

Minnesota health officials on Sunday reported six more deaths related to COVID-19.
So far 1,767 people have died from COVID-19 in Minnesota, including 1,310 in long-term care or assisted living settings.
The Minnesota Department of Health also reported 38 new hospitalizations on Sunday. So far, there have been a total of 6,151 hospitalizations, with 301 people currently in the hospital and 137 in intensive care units.
The department also reported 728 newly-reported cases that tested positive for COVID-19, pushing the total number of cases in the state to 69,584. The state reports that approximately 1,374,536 tests have been completed and approximately 1,060,320 people have been tested.

According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected more than 23.2 million people worldwide and killed about 805,422.
More than 14.9 million people worldwide have recovered as of Sunday.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, patients with confirmed COVID-19 have mild to severe respiratory problems, with symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath. Some patients report having muscle aches, headache, sore throat, and/or chills and shaking.
