Burnsville man helps save life of Amazon driver

A Burnsville man may have helped save a delivery driver’s life.

Monday afternoon, Craig Schroepfer noticed the driver of an Amazon truck unconscious behind the wheel and called 9-1-1 for help.

"I think I saved a person’s life," Schroepfer said. "If I didn’t look out that window, I don’t think that driver would be here with us today."

The driver was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

"We just got to look out for each other," Schroepfer said. "I don’t think I would have done anything different than anyone else would have done in that situation."

In a statement, an Amazon spokesperson said "We are thankful the delivery driver is recovering, and grateful to the community member who intervened and helped save the driver’s life."
