Construction worker injures head, back in fall at Minneapolis site

Officials have confirmed a 60-year-old construction worker suffered head and back injuries Wednesday morning after a fall at a site in Minneapolis.

Just before 9 a.m., the man reportedly fell into a storm sewer at a construction site in the area of North 10th Street and Hennepin Avenue.

The man was conscious and alert after the fall, and a crew at the site worked to hoist the man out of the hole.

Crews reported the ground around the storm sewer was stable.
