Police investigating what led up to Minneapolis shooting that hurt 2
Police are investigating what led up to a shooting in Minneapolis early Friday morning.
According to an incident report released Friday morning, the Minneapolis Police Department stated officers responded to the area of Chicago and Franklin avenues at about 12:40 a.m. after learning of ShotSpotter activation in the area.
Upon arrival, officers found a man who suffered an apparent gunshot wound, according to the incident report. He was taken to Hennepin Healthcare by ambulance.
Officers were also alerted that another man arrived at Hennepin Healthcare with a gunshot wound not considered to be life-threatening.
Both victims are expected to survive, police reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
