Woman with gunshot wound found dead in Zumbro Falls

A woman was found with a gunshot wound and unresponsive in Zumbro Falls Saturday night.
According to a release from the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, on July 4 at around 10:50 p.m. the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office responded to an unresponsive 34-year-old woman in rural Zumbro Falls.
When deputies arrived, rescue efforts were made, however, they were unsuccessful.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was called to the scene as the woman had a gunshot wound.
The case is under investigation.
