DVS to make knowledge tests by appointment only

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Driver and Vehicle Service division will allow Minnesotans the opportunity to schedule appointments for class D knowledge tests.

DVS announced it is also discontinuing class D knowledge tests on a first-come-first-served basis. Appointments for the tests will be required beginning July 13.

The tests can be done at any of the 14 regional DVS exam stations.

Minnesotans will be able to schedule their tests beginning Friday.

Knowledge tests for commercial and motorcycle licenses will still be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
