The Minnesota Wild love playing at the Xcel Energy Center these days. The team has a seven-game home winning streak and looks to make it eight against the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night.
One of the reasons for the team’s success is the play between the pipes. Goaltenders Cam Talbot and Kaapo Kahkonen have both played exceptionally well lately and the team has reaped the benefits.
"We like where we’re at. Both guys have played extremely well, we’re happy with both of them," saic Dean Evason, Wild head coach, on Monday.

Of course, the player that everyone is talking about these days is forward Kirill Kaprizov. The rookie from Russia leads the Wild in points with 24 and is second on the team in goals with 10. He recorded his first NHL hat-trick on Friday against the Coyotes.
"We talked about Kirill (Kaprizov) when he first got here when camp started in the weight room, how he interacted with his teammates and not sitting in a corner. I know there’s a language barrier, but he never shied away from the guys. He’s always had a smile, his body language is good on and off the ice. He (Kaprizov) certainly has similarities to Alex Ovechkin in personality. Ovechkin was always very happy for his teammate’s success and Kirill is the same way," Evason added.
The Wild head on the road for two games against the Colorado Avalanche following Tuesday’s home game vs Arizona.
