Walz announces new COVID-19 vaccination site in St. Cloud

Tuesday, Gov. Tim Walz announced a new community vaccination site in St. Cloud that will open this week.

The site is at River’s Edge Convention Center, which served as a pop-up location during the state’s Vaccine Pilot Program between Jan. 21 and Feb. 22.

The new site joins five other permanent locations that offer vaccines for populations that are currently eligible.

"As we continue to expand eligibility statewide, our community vaccination sites help us to continue leading the nation in getting shots in arms," Walz said. "The state’s Vaccine Connector is working as planned to help connect more Minnesotans to their COVID-19 vaccine, and the River’s Edge Convention Center site further expands opportunities for Minnesotans to access this safe, effective vaccine."
