Blue-green algae found in Carver Lake
Authorities said Friday that blue-green algae was found in Carver Lake in Woodbury.
According to the city, people are advised to avoid contact with the lake until further notice. The beach remains closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The city noted that not all blue-green algal blooms produce toxins but there’s no way to know if or when a bloom will produce toxins.
Anyone who believes they or their pets are experiencing adverse health effects due to contact with the water is urged to seek medical attention immediately.
