Kenny Chesney’s tour postponed again, will visit US Bank Stadium in 2022
Kenny Chesney’s tour, which includes a stop at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, has been postponed again.
Chesney’s team said Monday that all stadiums on the 2021 itinerary will still host his 2022 tour, but it will be a completely new show with a new name, lineup and new music.
All current tickets will be honored for the rescheduled show date, and anyone unable to attend the new show date can request a refund from the original point of purchase.
New dates haven’t yet been set. Chesney was originally set to stop in Minneapolis on May 2, 2020, but was delayed by the pandemic until June 5, 2021. His team said Chesney, with safety precautions varying in different states and cities, the decision was made to postpone the tour until 2022 so more fans could attend.
"We have waited for so long, I can’t play knowing I would disappoint a portion of No Shoes Nation who wouldn’t be able to get into the stadiums and the amphitheaters," Chesney said in a statement. "There’s no way around that this year. As much I hate postponing further, I would hate telling people who waited we won’t be able to let them come due to capacity restrictions. That’s just not fair."
