Paisley Park to offer free visitations on 5th anniversary of Prince’s death

Paisley Park is opening its doors to visitors for the fifth anniversary of Prince’s death.

The Chanhassen compound that doubled as Prince’s home and recording studio will be open for free visitation on April 21. The 30-minute appointments are slotted for every 10 minutes starting at 9 a.m. and can be reserved online — there are 70 slots in total, and 20 people are allowed at a time.

As of Tuesday night, all of the reservations had been claimed.

Tickets to Paisley Park typically cost at least $45. Prince’s estate was closed for a few months in 2020 but reopened in July with new COVID-19 precautions in place.

Prince was 57 when he died of an accidental fentanyl overdose on April 21, 2016.
