Twin Cities assault, theft suspect arrested in Polk County
A man who was wanted for assault and theft in the Twin Cities was arrested Wednesday in rural Centuria, Wisconsin.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said its emergency response team and the St. Croix Valley Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a home around 7:15 p.m.
Authorities arrested 20-year-old James Joseph Howard, who was wanted for third-degree assault with a weapon in Hennepin County and theft of a motor vehicle in Ramsey County.
The sheriff’s office said Howard is also a person of interest in a recent shooting and robbery in Minneapolis.
