COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 3 new deaths; over 1M residents have completed vaccine series

Wisconsin health officials on Monday reported three new deaths related to COVID-19, moving the state’s total to 6,601 deaths since the pandemic began.

Additionally, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) reported 33 new hospitalizations, moving the total number of hospitalizations during the pandemic to 27,466.

A total of 576,044 positive cases of COVID-19 have now been confirmed in Wisconsin, with 296 new cases reported Monday.

As of Monday, DHS reports that more than 3.28 million people have been tested in the state.

The state’s seven-day average positivity rate by test is at 2.7%.

DHS said the state has been allocated 2,679,245 vaccine doses so far. Of those, 2,720,952 had been administered as of Monday, and 1,001,142 people had completed the two-shot vaccine series.
