Mendota Bridge closed due to police activity

The Mendota Bridge was closed Monday due to police activity in the area.
KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said both directions of Highway 55/Highway 62 were closed as a result. Smith said the bridge was expected to remain closed until about noon.
Traffic management cameras captured a chase which ended on the bridge.
Smith advised drivers take Interstate 494 as an alternate route.
