State lawmakers are back at the capitol in a second special session to address an array of concerns, including the COVID-19 pandemic and Gov. Tim Walz’s peacetime emergency.
However, the biggest issue lawmakers are facing is the call to pass legislation to require major reforms to law enforcement.
Eight weeks ago Monday, George Floyd’s life ended under the knee of a Minneapolis police officer. The Twin Cities was rocked by days of protests, both peaceful and violent, and a growing call demanding change.
We want to show you how George Floyd’s name has become a call for change, from the streets of Minneapolis and St. Paul to the halls of the state capitol.
