St. Cloud man injured in crash, arrested for DWI

A St. Cloud man was arrested Friday after he was involved in a single-vehicle crash.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the intersection of County Road 75 and Franklin Road at about 1:45 p.m.

According to the sheriff’s office, 29-year-old Michael Dale was driving south on County Road 75 when his vehicle left the road, went down a steep ditch and struck a tree.

The sheriff’s office said Dale reported he swerved to avoid a deer.

Dale was taken to a hospital for treatment, but further investigation indicated he was possibly under the influence of a controlled substance. He was then booked into the Stearns County Jail for first-degree DWI.
