1 dead after shooting in Minneapolis, police say
Police say a man was killed Monday afternoon after shooting in Minneapolis.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded at 4:30 p.m. to the 1000 block of East 22nd Street on the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located a man with a gunshot wound and no pulse. After first responders performed CPR, the man regained a pulse. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he later died.
According to the police, the victim was approaching his car when he saw two people attempting to break into it. The victim approached the suspects, who ran away. The victim then proceeded to chase the suspects on foot. At some point, the victim was shot during the chase, police officials say.
