Motorcyclist injured after hitting deer in Avon Township
A motorcyclist was injured Monday night after striking a deer in Avon Township.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the intersection of Pelican Lake Road and 360th Street at about 8:24 p.m. for a reported motorcycle crash.
According to the sheriff’s office, 61-year-old Brad Becker, of Avon, was driving his 2002 Harley Davidson north on Pelican Lake Road when he hit a deer. He was able to call 911 to report the crash.
An ambulance took Becker to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities said he wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
