COVID-19 in Wisconsin: Single-day record 1,117 new cases, 14 additional deaths

Wisconsin health officials reported 1,117 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, a new daily record, bringing the total number of positive tests in the state to 44,135 since the pandemic started.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) also reported 14 additional deaths, which brings the state total to 859. The state also reported 4,194 people have been hospitalized since the pandemic began, an increase of 65 from Monday.

As of Tuesday, DHS says 750,562 people have tested negative for COVID-19.

More than 70% of COVID-19 cases in the state of Wisconsin have recovered thus far.
