Glen Taylor hires firm to explore selling Timberwolves; Kevin Garnett part of group looking to buy

Reports from Sportico and The Athletic Tuesday said that Glen Taylor, the longtime owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves, has hired a firm to help him sell the team.

Glen Taylor confirmed to KSTP’s Darren Wolfson that he was approached by the Raine Group to discuss the future of the franchise.

The Raine Group is a global merchant bank that, according to its website, offers advisory services for mergers and acquisitions among other services.

Timberwolves legend Kevin Garnett, in a post on his Instagram story, confirmed that he was a part of a group looking to buy the team.
